Asianosaiselle, jolle oikeudenkäyntiä varten oli määrätty oikeustieteellisen koulutuksen saanut uskottu mies, oli myönnetty maksuton oikeudenkäynti. MOL (5 §):n nojalla uskottu mies määrättiin asianosaisen avustajaksi.
