Kolme 15 vuotta nuorempaa poikaa olivat tahallansa heittäneet kivillä erästä henkilöä seurauksin, että tämä oli saanut siitä vähäisiä vammoja. Lasten vanhempien katsottiin tuottaneen sanotun vahingon laiminlyömällä pitää heitä silmällä.
