I enlighet med statsrådets beslut, fattat på föredragning från undervisningsministeriet,
upphävs i statsrådets förordning av den 19 augusti 2004 om universitetsexamina ( 794/2004 ) 25 § samt
ändras 1, 4 och 17 § samt förordningens bilaga som följer:
1 §Tillämpningsområde
I denna förordning föreskrivs om de lägre och högre högskoleexamina samt vetenskapliga och konstnärliga påbyggnadsexamina som avläggs vid universitet som avses i universitetslagen (558/2009). Bestämmelser om de yrkesinriktade påbyggnadsexamina som avläggs vid universiteten utfärdas separat.
4 §Examina på främmande språk
För en examen enligt 11 § 2 mom. i universitetslagen som har avlagts på något annat språk än finska eller svenska ges utöver ett examensbevis på finska eller svenska och den examensbenämning på finska eller svenska som finns i bilagan till förordningen även en examensbenämning på engelska enligt vad som nämns i bilagan.
17 §Iakttagande av Europeiska gemenskapens lagstiftning
Utbildning som leder till veterinärmedicine licentiatexamen, odontologie licentiatexamen och medicine licentiatexamen, provisorsexamen samt arkitektexamen samt utbildning som leder till en lägre högskoleexamen som ligger till grund för nämnda examina ska ordnas med iakttagande av Europeiska gemenskapens lagstiftning om utbildningens miniminivå.
Denna förordning träder i kraft den 1 januari 2010.

4 Inom det naturvetenskapliga området har Tammerfors tekniska universitets utbildningsansvar i läroämnen om vilka särskilt föreskrivs genom förordning av undervisningsministeriet. Namnet på en examen som avläggs vid Tammerfors tekniska universitet följer dock alltid examensbenämningen inom det teknisk-vetenskapliga området.
